Photos: From my Chittorgarh & Udaipur trip in September 2017. Chittorgarh fort, Vijay Stambh, Rana Kumbha’s palace, Rani Padmini’s palace are the primary attractions. As per my experience hiring a guide here is a very affordable option and also rewarding. Without the guide explaining the importance of each place in history, the visit would have felt like just seeing a place, taking some pics and coming back.

Meera temple, where saint Mirabai used to worship lord Krishna is also adjacent to the fort and the palace she lived in too.

The birth of Maharana Udai Singh, the founder of Udaipur had happened in Rana Kumbha’s palace. The story of Panna Dhai who saved Udai Singh which costed her own son’s life was also well narrated by the guide.

I won’t write more, will leave the rest for you people to experience yourself. Someone said it’s wise to spend on experiences than materials.

You can find more to read about Chittorgarh here. Udaipur details can be found here. It’s always better to read about the places to visit before the actual visit.
